Just wanted to give a thank you to Mid, Arfie, Malibumark, Greeneyes, Mlro, Girlincalif, and Suncloudjd! You all always have such helpful tips and advice, but I always forget to write on my posts when I see you post, lol. I would lose my head if it wasn't attached to my body, lol. Thank you all so much! I'm starting to use my AI app as a sounding board again. I used to use it as that before...

Nerd Alert. . . Big word warning. . .
Here in the real world, I am very near the confluence of the Ohio and Mississippi Rivers. Snow is melting upstream on both rivers. Both regions got allot of snow this year. More than enough snow to equal far more water than any soil can drink. As I type, that snow is making its way through the intricate weave of watersheds to arrive at the confluence of those mighty rivers. River levels are up dramatically here in the river region.
These conditions frequently set up a "River Crest" which can be followed by naked eye from the river banks. "Crest Parties" often form around the spectacle, especially when The Crest passes beneath sunny skies and warm air temperatures.
Is there room for a Crest Party on Min's Planet?
It was a sunny day with no rain, but the trickle of water that began over the top of our wall of sandbags turned into a rush, and in no time the whole downtown of our city was wiped out. People were canoeing past our downtown businesses by afternoon. Tens of millions of dollars of damage was done.

From July 11 until July 22, the Des Moines Water Works treatment facility was flooded by the Raccoon River. This resulted in the plant being powered down, unable to provide running water for that period. During this time the Army National Guard and American Red Cross set up water stations, and the local Anheuser-Busch distributor contributed water in white six packs with their logo on it. Once running water was restored, there was enough pressure for people to bathe and flush toilets, but the water was not certified potable until July 29. The final usage restrictions were lifted in August.[citation needed]
Major sandbagging activities took place along the higher Missouri River, the River des Peres in St. Louis, the Mississippi River south of St. Louis, and on many other tributaries across Missouri and Illinois. Some of these efforts were successful, while others were not. The copious rain during July sent record-setting crests down the Mississippi and Missouri Rivers, causing river gauges to malfunction along the way. The record crests met within days of each other at their confluence near St. Louis. Navigation on the Mississippi and Missouri River was closed in early July, resulting in a loss of $2 million (1993) per day in commerce.[11]
The harsh side effects with which I triggered you are the reason I doubt there is room for Crest Parties on Min's Planets.
But. . . Sigh. . . I am weird enough to want to ride a tornado, too. . . I've even chased them in hopes of being able to stick out my thumb. Them buggers are ironically hard to catch.
Thank you for your service, Noble Hero. Sorry I triggered you.
No Crest Parties on Min's Planet.
All of the folks in town who had hobbies involving canoes and shallow-bottomed fishing boats volunteered their crafts to save people and their pets. Many were stranded on the roof tops of their houses.
My condo was in a building on a hilltop near downtown, so I was high and dry, but others lived down in the bottoms so they were really thankful for the canoes and fishing boats that ferried them to higher ground by where I lived.
Sometimes these river crests swell into spectacular shows in the lower Mississippi River Valley and bands of weirdos like me will form for the thrill of following to the Gulf Coast. So I've heard. . . The talking heads don't consider it news, but finding one of those crest parties is on my bucket list. Just ahead of riding a tornado. I don't expect to come back from that tornado ride, if I ever catch one of the buggers.
I'd like to find a flying saucer with the keys in it, too. . .
