SimpsonOK, my brain and my challenges with a few things e.g learning and communicating was affected. I have learned to talk in my adult years. I still have a few challenges from my injury. You are right my therapist has been teaching me about changes in my brain because of trauma But as a child I struggled with a few things due to it.
Rubbing elbows with brain surgeons and their patients every day got me to begin to understand how a brain trauma early in life like that might affect a person. I got a good therapist and a good psychiatrist and went to work on how it affected me. It really relieved me of a lot of worry about how that car bombing changed my life and how.
