Over the last month I have been struggling. Trying to care for my husband with his dementia and not being able to remember things. Yesterday I lost him in Costco. What a nightmare trying to find him.
I have also been involved with multiple depositions which has been extremely triggering making my nightmares worse. It's hard talking to my attorney almost daily describing events over and over and then having to face my abusers and watching them lie to my face. Luckily my evidence proves their lying. I have to make it through one more deposition this week before a mediation hearing the beginning of January.
I feel drained. On top of my case I am dealing with an attorney representing my husband and trying to get his social security disability approved and then we will have to figure out the medical because he will have to wait two years for Medicare.
I never pictured my retirement this way, but hopefully my case will be over soon and I can focus more on my husbands needs. I just don't feel like myself. Normally I enjoy the holidays, but the last two years have been stressful. I need to try to focus on family and those little things that I am greatful for, like my friends here on DS.

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.
