So, I was watching Church Sunday (I still go Virtually)
Anyway, in the hommoly, It was all about how we should help people Mentally, Physically, And spiritually......We should.
I was thinking about it, And thougt....I would like to help these people with their mentally disabled son, But, I was just kept in the dark about this, I'm Happy To help, But, I Just don't want this guy comming over screaming my ear off, cause he or anyone of his neices or nephew (cause I fear Might have gotten into their mind's) They might come yelling and screaming at me. It sure as hell got into my mind, But, I don't go into peoples houses yelling at them, Cause I feel I have to be right about something. But, The mentally disabled have no concept of right and wrong, They just act on impulse, Like those Charactor's in Horror movies. I was telling my therapist about that, That horror while entertaining, They do bring awareness to mentall issues, like The Michel Myer's Charactor in the "Halloween" franchise, They are fictional, But, do paint a picture of what people with Mental issues go through.
So we should help the mentally and physically disabled. But, what do You do when there's a physical or verbal confrontation.
I know, This was 35yrs ago, and should forget it, but, find myself talking to myself about it, I hear voices in my head yelling at me, arguing with me, and those calm collected voices telling me it's not going to happen.

Here is my new brother, copper :) He's so tiny! Moo and Tuck were ok with him on first meeting. Rocket due to his severe aggression will never meet Cooper.

And just this year watched the boogieman, These people do get into Your mind.
I've also been having trouble sleeping Sleeping, Just thinking about all this, from 35 yrs ago.
sharing hope and compassion with other broken people i am one or two steps helps me see the illness and despair more clearly.
sometimes life just plain sucks, but we have more suck resistance when we stick together. healing hopes for all. no exceptions.
be gentle with yourself and patient with the process. sustainable change takes time and gentle nurturing.
When what I saw haunts me I turn it around with gratitude. I tell my mind "thank you for taking note of that for me. It was bad indeed. You really looked out for me back then. Now this is now and you got me here."
Sounds corny, I know, but gratitude really works for me. A member here suggested I keep a gratitude journal 6 years ago. I haven't missed a day it helps me so. Dunno if it will you, but I figured I'd pass it on.
If that's something that is concerning to you maybe this isn't the best fit
You could always see if you could help them in another way... Yard work something like that or look for another way to help people
I think it's wonderful that you volunteer at a hospital.... Big hug.... xo
I can see if I was good at playing cards or pool, or something, And I let that person win, That would them feel good about themselves, and me.
But, I don't want someone shaming me, Like this mental did to me 35yrs ago, Which I know I need to let go of and forget about.
Volunteering at the hospital, Makes them feel good, And makes me feel
good.......Thax Suncloud
