In my own personal experience pain makes my ptsd worse and my ptsd makes my pain worse. Just a circle of not good stuff.
I have been doing more walking and my knee is really sore and swollen. I need to make doctors appointment as the pain is getting nasty again.
That idea of having potatoes by your door to throw was hilarious, jewells. It reminded me to be grateful for my Salvadoran neighbor who took me to the ER.
I'm trying to think of a gift for him and his wife. Any ideas welcome.
As to your neighbor.......perhaps they would enjoy something yummy to eat. I don't know how well you know them with regard to food. Also you may have seen them come home with wine or such.
Odd idea for the hamstring: order HUGE rubber boots When you get the boot, ice water goes in plus a dash of peppermint essential oil...Just a dash!
Soak hamstring. ( I needed to soak sore feet while doing things...)
Neoprene wraps sweat the swelling out...this is kind of gross, but it does help reduce pain and swelling.
as a thank you to your neighbors the coffee is a good idea. you might also think of sharing a tradition of your own with them. you know share that you care about them and their culture while also making it personal by treating them to your little slice of heaven. -Brigid
