A little bit overwhelmed tonight....
It's been an extra long weekend. My three year old had strep. She's much better and returning to school tomorrow but I'm out 10hrs of work. And I lost it tonight, walked into another room to hit myself with something.
I've been white knuckling for too long. Surviving. "Managing." I can't keep doing this. New psychiatrist tomorrow. Maybe I need new meds?
I've had suicidal ideations, severe depression and barely manageable anxiety for months but my doc has stuck with what I'm on. I don't think they work. I think I've been doing the work, and I think I need more help than what these meds are providing.
My pastor and his wife have covid19. My cousin and her family do, all except for her youngest. Everyone is going to get it if we keep going on life as normal. People who've been doing so much (like pastoring a church and/or traveling and going about like there's not a pandemic) are going to get sick. I keep wanting to let up on my restrictions but then I'm reminded that there's a very real need for them. My asthma is severe. This is scary. And I have to work. Rambling now.....just overwhelmed like everyone else.

I'm alive, I'm sleeping like a rock, and for some reason I wanted cherry juice so that seems to be helping. (??? Weirdo that I am.)***Infamous therapies over history:1. The Attic. The madwoman in the attic is a motif in literature going waaaaaay back: the nutty female relative is locked in the attic. (See: Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte for a grotesquely racist version of it, and Charlotte Perkins...

Today (August 8) is INternational Cat Day. Don't click away! International DOG day is August 26! Both were created to raise aweareness and funds for the well-being of critters. We have many such dayts, to the pint that every day is like an old Catholic saints' day calendar: Take your pick!I'm home, obvs, and still ill. Left calf and foot not great after a tangle-fall, but i'll live. Just can't...

I sure hope your new psychiatrist can find a medication or combination of meds that helps more with your symptoms.. Let him or her know how rough things have been and that you're not seeing the improvements you need from your current meds. If you don't new providers, in my experience, have just tried to continue what we'd already been doing.
Hugs of support and thoughts and prayers for your health and peace.
"Wow, today really sucked teaching from home and I live alone, am not dating anybody, and none of my offline friends are picking up the phone. It's technical audio trouble live streaming and I have to be a guest speaker from home for a church on Sunday so sucking teaching Friday has the chance to become sucking preaching Sunday, too."
Argh. Speaking of getting things right, I couldn' get things right today, either, and I've got to get things right on Sunday somehow.... Really??
