I'm really sorry about your son, and truly hope all is well. Scary.
I found extended (time) release melatonin AND combination melatonin -- half quick onset, half extended release. I do notice a bit of difference with staying asleep if there's some extended-release involved.
Unfortunately, a couple months ago, I learned what an electrophysiologist is :-(
I just saw a news article, yesterday, that said that -- in most substantive ways -- yoga is as good for you as cardiovascular exercise like walking, jogging, or cycling. Doesn't lower blood sugar (FBG) or A1c, but ... in most ways ... as good.
Nothing puts more free time in your day (other than insomnia, I guess), but yoga is awfully portable, and ... ten minutes is better than nothing :-)
I'm kind of -- by default -- a recovering cardio junkie. Yoga's a pretty beautiful thing. Again: I need to practice a lot more before I bother to preach, but ... I'm heartened to see the health benefits are really quantifiable.
Doo: that's a really helpful site. Thanks ! I've bookmarked it.
Cecil: good to know you've found a place for it in your life where it was helpful. I can't imagine trying to work or socialize high, anymore, but ... oh ... there was a day ;-)
I used to take a class called body flow. It was a mixture of Yoga, Pilates, and Thi Chi (I'm pretty sure I butchered that spelling). Not only did I notice a huge difference in my muscle growth, but also in my mental health. Beautiful is the exact way I would describe it as well. It's very calming and there's something very sweet about it. Unfortunately, those classes are only offered during the all important dinner hour, and while I know I need to get better about putting my needs first at times, I have a very difficult time making commitments that take time away from Victor.
If I had to go to a class ... I never would. Heck ... I'm struggling mightily just to get those ADLs done ;-)
I've never heard a parent of a toddler complain about having too much time on their hands. I wonder if the TV/cable/internet route could work for you .....
Glad Victor's okay. Happy Anniversary, then, for a HAPPY anniversary.
I'm not a parent. I was a step-parent for a few years. It's a hard enough job without the added benefit of our lovely little anxiety disorder ;-)
However, my body was covered in a strange tingling sensation and my whacky thoughts left me too giddy to sleep. I gave it the old college try and have determined it's just not for me. ;)
I find yes you get bigger high but it is worth the time patients and I make 4g butter for 1 oz of good quality weed high potenticy

Your experience with it is similar to mine when I gave it the old college try, myself. I came to the same conclusion. Sigh.
