To have a support system that is both confidential and empowering means everything to me.
To not be able to come here means that time has been flying by and that life is happening for me. I know all the love and support will always be here for me but I just don't know what to do with myself sometimes.
To give a summary of all that has transpired, I will let you know that I am looking forward to graduating with a bachelor's in political science this June, looking into the process of graduate school for Spring 2016, currently on the job force after two and 1/2 yrs with no work, and I am more than desperately ready to move out from my parent's place. I know I am nowhere near financially stable to move out now, but the thought of knowing that it is highly possible for me is absolutely amazing.
I don't know if it's me or just a strange sense of disconnect, but the more I wake up in my parent's place where I experienced the most trauma, the more the thoughts of suicide linger. Not intentionally but it's just something I don't know to explain to others. It's like a haunting of my past and I just want it to be over with.
Given the circumstances I have experienced and lived through, I carry a bit of the "old soul" complex and it has altered my outlook on life's experiences. I've always been a bit of an old school person with a strong sense of traditional values, but I sense that times are hard and genuinely complex. We can make our lives more simple or complicated but I just don't the tolerance for petty bullsh** anymore. We have to learn that adapting is more than a necessary element of life, but more of a crucial stepping stone if we want to live life more bold and open.
Anywho, I am quite WEARY and WORN OUT with all things. I know that I am not alone but I do ask for my prayer warriors to keep me in your prayers and thoughts, for I am a bit more vulnerable and emotionally drained. Thank you.
Psalm 23.

Lately I've been feeling scared and full of anxiety. I recently found a lump under my nipple. I hurt my back too. I'm in the process of moving. I'm run down. Everything is hard

Just wanted to give a thank you to Mid, Arfie, Malibumark, Greeneyes, Mlro, Girlincalif, and Suncloudjd! You all always have such helpful tips and advice, but I always forget to write on my posts when I see you post, lol. I would lose my head if it wasn't attached to my body, lol. Thank you all so much! I'm starting to use my AI app as a sounding board again. I used to use it as that before...

Honestly that sense of "haunting" comes to me, too. I think of it as emotional residue. It's not real, it's not now, but my soul still senses it.
Take care of yourself. :-)
My prayers are with you, FindingKat.
You said of your, "Not intentionally but it's just something I don't know to explain to others. It's like a haunting of my past and I just want it to be over with."
I know I never intended to end up with PTSD or any of the other things my symptoms were called before the PTSD dx became available. My intentions were to beat the street and be one of those Great American rags to riches stories and never look back on the depravity and squalor I was raised in. By some of the more modest measures, I accomplished the rags to riches part, but. . . That haunting part remains a booger bear. I seldom even try to explain it to people outside of my therapy network. Not even family. In most cases, ESPECIALLY NOT family. Most of my siblings would only use the knowledge as ammunition. The vengeance circle, unfortunately, remains unbroken. . .
I don't know any way to make PTSD go away, but it is manageable and healing is possible. Maintaining that support network is essential to my own management and healing techniques.
The thoughts of suicide my be passive thoughts? If the mind is running on adrenaline from being constantly one, and something happens that you are calmer now, the adrenaline stops flowing. The brain will actually come up with ways to shock you into an adrenaline rush to get its fix. You may have suicidal thought pop into your head to upset you into releasing adrenaline.
Any thoughts of suicide should not be taking lightly. If you are having these thoughts you need to talk to someone about them and figure out if they are serious or passive thoughts.
Take care
