"Nicotiana" is the genus you want to surf, jewells. The name was changed when the prohibitions started getting genocidal. It is a HUGE genus. Almost as big as "sacred."

As for other smokeables in nature... The list is endless... As is the informal research. Don't tell the anti-smokers...

As for the herbal descriptions... I have been a weed witch for allot of years. I am more proficient with finding and/or growing them, but one interest leads to another. I promise I could saturate you. Horehound is the main weed of this project. Got any recipients for candied hore hoppers?

knew in AA, NA program. and then my Sponsor at that time used
Sage a couple times I came to her apartment. I often wondered if it
had illegal ....smoke coming from it! ....but back then, my mind was
probably a wreck and some paranoia of 'relapsing' from the smoke!

The herb/weed study is very literal but mostly informal and volunteer. Passion drives me. I love wild plants!

Bio-remediation of over-grazed pasture land is the focus of this particular project. Old time dairy farmers used to scrub their milk pails, etc., with horehound and it has become an invasive weed in an awful lot of pastures. I am wondering if it is a potential cash crop... We see what grows. Probably just my photo collection.

Well that sent me on a reading trip! Ha. Love the info. As a diabetic and as a pain inhibitor other things are being proven...that whch was used for centuries. Lowering Glycemic levels and (diabetes mellitus) . Also clearing L-calcium from inner smooth walls of arteries, causing a relaxation of arteries, lowering blood pressure.One more goodie, the pain relief that does not interfere with opioids, meaning a lessening possibly of the amount needed to fight chronic pain...And of coarse the Ricola cough drops (expectorant properties, so we breath easier-A help possible for asthmatics, not grog inducing!
