Hello, I am a new member and wanted to give other members a little background. I had PTSD 15 yrs ago from having been sexually abused as a child. I had a great counselor & support group and made it through the worst of it in 9 months. I sought help because my PTSD was so bad I couldn't be out in public(incluing shopping). Things went really well till 4 yrs ago when my husband of 38 yrs became physically & emotionally abusive an a woman (that he claims he ha nothing to o with) starte stalking harassing me. Feeling I was being attacke by 2 ifferent people at the same time, my PTS returned an after 4 yrs I'm still trying to recover. She still oes things occasionally and I am still with my abusive husband so I'm sure nthat's why I haven't recovered yet. I am trying to get strong enouygbh to deal with these 2 people.

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

First, I hope everyone is doing well, and continuing to fight that good fight! Keep up the great work on yourselves; I'm rooting for all of you!So, I started doing therapy at the beginning of the year, when I was in my most depressed state, but with my therapist, I made big changes and steps in the right direction. But, over a month ago, she couldn't take my insurance anymore, and I had to stop...
You did not mention what you are doing at to help with the PTSD symptoms. Do you take meds? Are you seeing your counsellor again? Would it be possible to talk with your doctor about this? Would it be possible to talk with a women's shelter about your situation?
It does not have to be like this, and there is hope. Sometimes the hardest part is asking for help.
Welcome to the group.
Welcome aboard. I look forward to getting to know you.
I've the spouse trigger problem myself. I'm just sorry you've got to deal with this crap all over again. This place helps!
My PTSD was probably always there, in mild form, and now? Prisoner of my own past, trying to manage going to the grocery store (so far, no dice), etc. So you are not alone in the symptoms or situation.
Can't add much to the above advice, just know that we're here, and there's a lot of us who'll understand.
Gentle healing and peace to you,
Leo
I hope you find peace and support here :)
I just replied to the comment you left for my post on being re-victimized through stalking. I can relate to you, it's very hard psychologically and emotionally. I can also relate to having to deal with many things at once. It's been my life for the past year. *Hugs*
