Last week I was having 5 flashbacks a day from my PTSD surviving combat as a missionary kid raised in a war zone overseas. My work with my therapist really helped me get my attention back to the present 5 times a day and keep moving forward.
For the last 2 days, though, I've had 0 flashbacks, and boy oh boy it's really sweet!
I hope y'all get the gift of the same. Blessings, everybody. :-)

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

i hope you won't be offended if i return your hope of the same to sender. avoiding flashbacks hasn't worked so well for me. i am grateful for the plethora of ways to manage flashbacks. every case is unique.
healing hopes for all.
no exceptions.
Yeah, arfie, speaking of a plethora of ways to manage them reminded me of the PTSD therapist DSPTSD members introduced me to, that Pete Walker. Besides being a complex PTSD expert for folks like us who went through extensive childhood trauma, he's got a cool flashbacks management page on his website, too.
