Try not to take it too seriously, it may be just a passing thing you're experiencing. Religion is about what you feel and what you believe. If that hasn't changed, then neither have you.
It may be that you're retreating from your former life until you can process what's happened and adjust to it if you can.
He said that there was a humility in Islam he admired as a Christian in that, as he put it, there was a recognition of God as the Creator, and of ourselves as creatures created by God. He explained Allahu akbar was an expression of that, and that it was what was meant by the statement God is God.
It stuck with me even as I stayed a Christian. It just helped me to let go and let God a little more, as they say in Alanon. I posted earlier about how much that program helped me spiritually, too.
I guess the way I'd amend the thought would be "God is God" (and aren't we all glad I'm not?). Ha.
Thanks for posting what you said about Islam. It helped me in my personal reflection today.
I can pray anywhere at any time and lit the candle in my own room either for myself or for loved one, for health or for ones who are gone in remembrance of them wishing them to rest in peace
I don't like to talk about religion, but I do respect everyones religious view, practice, beliefs even if it is different than mine
as long as we don't abuse, hurt ourselves or anyone else are we religious or not we are doing good
the cycle goes like, first its thought, then it becomes words, then it can go into real action, there is 10 commandments in Christianity, if all of us would follow it then there would be less pain in this world
