Maybe you could check into sunglasses with a deeper tint. You may need the type of glasses that also have thick tinted rims on the sides to block out extra light. Dark glasses would do the job, and they might even be cheaper than a new car windows. You could also continue to wear the glasses when getting out of the car.
I hope this helps.
Good Luck!
call around to find the one place in your location that does it, not all tinters do it... best to you
I had to get non polarized sunglasses, it looked psychedelic and not from our meds!!!
Now i can safely drive in daylight hours...
The glasses would be a good idea for my migraines, thank you. I just visited my eye doctor and did see they had big black glasses there. I will see the her again in 3 weeks, will ask.
I also would like to protect my skin from these long car rides, so I need to look into something to tint the windows. But, If I happen to have a migraine, very dark glasses would be great, did not think of that, thanks!
I will ask my son who has very dark tinted windows, he is 19 and works at a car dealership.
I know that we usually go by percentages of tint here in MI., but will ask to see if I can get a sun protective tint.
Also will look into non-polarized sunglasses. Thanks so much friends for your input!
I wouldn't go darker than the law allows. That law is in place to keep you safe.
I agree about very dark tints. I think it puts our police at higher risk during traffic stops, not to mention the public. There's got to be something that will work and be safe.
I would think somebody makes a sheet of tint that you could cut off and put on your window temporarily. Will do some calling around.
Thanks!
I purchased a roll of tinted material for my front storm door windows from Walmart. It came in 2 tint levels, but I wouldn't know if either was within legal limits for your car. I cut it to size, and placed it on the windows. It just peels off. If I recall, it was in the $12-14 range per roll. Don't know if this is what you had in mind or not, but tho't I'd mention it.
Yes this is what I was thinking about. I can use this as a temporary fix.
Thank you!
without it i would not be able to drive at all durring the day.

I will do some research to find this particular uva/uvb protection. Cost will likely be an issue, but I need this protection and will have to give up something else. Thanks!
