Yes I have also been looking into spf clothing. This will be tops on my Christmas list as they are expensive. Thanks!
I live in Virginia. There is a waiver that allows some people to darken their car more than the normal (including the driver's side windows). There's also a clear UV film that's just as effective - but I figured if I'm paying for it, I want to get the relief of less sun on my eyes and keeping the car cooler.
I did have to have my Rheumatologist sign the waiver, and then I just took it to one of the two "certified" car window tint shops near my house.
I think for all the bells and whistles on my economy car, it was about $550. Expensive, but SO worth it. I think it has a 25 year warranty on the product, too.
There's another company that does it for residential windows - I've been saving my pennies for them to come and do my home windows, too (EVERYTHING is east facing in my condo!).
Good luck :)
Thank you for your info. Right now I am temporarily using a tint that I bought from a roll. I never looked into MI laws regarding a waiver, I will put this on my to do to list which is ever growing. If my house faced east, I would probably be wearing sunglasses in the house, my eyes are so sensitive to the sun. Thanks!
