i lost 10 lbs & 1.5 inches off my waist in under month.
Mine has helped me soo much. it's a live style change, but it works. you can slip one day & it doesn't make a huge impact on everything else you done.
stay away from canned veggies. the sodium content is insane. & stick to high fiber foods. the fiber prevents sugar from flooding your sstem & making the insulin go crazy.
I've heard that the following are good though;
Weight Watchers
Skinny Bitch
and this one I can't remember the name, but you go on it for 3 days then snack one day? maybe try to google it!
Also, remember...
There are many children out there who need homes.
Maybe look into adoption.
Its a great great thing to do, and you will love your child, and you can give your child a good home.
ALA specifically helps with insulin resistance and is an antioxidant.
keep in mind they have recently discovered lower fat milk has more of an insulin response than whole milk products. plus it has naturally occurring hormones that may affect pcos sufferers negatively. same with soy milk it has similar effects to hormone replacement therapy in menopausal women. its also a good idea to read up on Trigger Foods and Opioids http://www.nutramed.com/eatingdisorders/addictivefoods.htm
and when it comes to grains for me if i eat any i may as well be eating candy even the whole varieties as i have a similar response to it.
and dont get me started on the sugar load our western diet has... as pre agucultural humans we had about 20 teaspoons of sugar a YEAR now we have an average of 50 teaspoons a DAY thats about 700 times what we should be eating...
keep in mind its not how many calories you eat its what KIND ... we need fat in our diet but more of the omega 3s. currently on average our diet contains 20 times the omega 6's than omega 3 historically it was more like 2:1 or even 1:1 (omega6:omega3) http://www.drmirkin.com/nutrition/9483.html
and sugar in the amounts we eat partly thanks to high fructose corn syrup being in everything to that donut or even hienz ketchup... or even that probiotic yogurt alot of us were eating thinking it was healthier for us.... http://www.westonaprice.org/modernfood/highfructose.html
eating sugar actually raises cholesterol in the blood more than eating dietary cholesterol.
remember on weight watchers theres a reason letus cucumber and celery are free foods =)
if you can afford it go organic not only due to the pesticides that can affect our delicate endocrine systems but food that has to fight to live has more nutrients. plus the soil tends to be fertilized with more minerals rather than just what the plants need to live like commercial fertilizer.
