So I saw the reproductive endo(not trying to get preg). she took my hx and asked questions. she put me on a birth control and send me off with a script for some blood work, thyroid, glucose etc.If I do have diabetes, is that how they determine putting someone on a med like that? what if i dont have diabetes? is birth control enough to deal with pcos?
i am very concerned because I also have an eating disorder, i really also need to be seeing a nutritionist.
I check my blood sugar on my dads old meter... today is was 135 after dinner... its not accurate bc the holidays are killing my eating plan.

As far as the birth control pills, I think it does help with the PCOS because it balances hormones and you also most likely won't get cysts on your ovaries. I was diagnosed with PCOS once I went off of birth control pills because I can't get pregnant.
I would write down some questions for the RE for your next appt. It can be very overwhelming at your first appt. I find that writing down my questions really helps because that way I don't forget anything, which is very easy to do.
