when i do lose 2-3 pounds I find that it is because I am avoiding starchy carbs and processfood.
For breakfast I eat eggwhites and/or cottage cheese and strawberries
i also try to eat less, but more often...so that i am eating 4-5 meals a day to keep my insulin levels from spking.
500 calories is too low...and it also depends on what your eating/ not just how much.

The medicine has cut my appetite significantly (which helped with weight loss), and it also made me sick while adjusting (which was not fun but probably also helped with weight loss). There are also some foods I just don't eat anymore, like white bread, white rice, and sugary pastries/sweets. I have heard from a lot of people I know who are on Metformin that they haven't lost weight like I did on Janumet. Now that I'm adjusting and not feeling sick all the time, I'm a big fan of Janumet. See what the doc says about Janumet?
