Polycythemia is a condition in which there is a net increase in the total circulating erythrocyte (red blood cell) mass of the body. I have a friend that has two kids from acupunture. She has some thyroid issues and only gets her period once a year. The first time it took her 6 mo to get preg then the next child, it took three months.Though, Everybody responds differently to the treatment. All i can say is it takes ALOT of patience to do acupuncture b/c most of the time you dont see the results immeadetly. I have my days were i just want to give up and try meds....but i dont. Wishing you lots of luck and sending baby dust your way!
Thanks for the comment!
I had been seeing an Amish herbalist for my herbal supplements and he had me taking Food Enzymes, Ho Shu Wu, FCS II and Crampbark & False Unicorn Root. They have really helped regulate my periods, but we haven't been back to see him this month because my DH and I are planning to do acupuncture along with Chinese herbs and would prefer to do it all at one place.
I have been working on the diet thing...I'm looking into the GI diet. It sounds similar to what I've already been doing, though I haven't really seen any significant weight loss. I might have to get more strict with it (and exercise more now that it has warmed up outside).
I too keep thinking that if I can just get healthy, I'll wake up pregnant one day. Good luck and keep me posted about your efforts!!!
I bought some books about the GI diet and am going to start trying that. My sister is also dealing with PCOS and is also TTC, so she and I are supporting each other a lot, but live 10 hours from each other! She is on Nutrisystem and says it is similar to the GI diet and she has seen some positive results so far. I am fairly confident that I can be successful with this diet because it is similar to what I already do (though I do have to pay a little more attention to my carbs).
When I exercised a lot, I was losing weight like crazy. I used to walk 3-4 miles every day. I need to start walking again and know that when I do, the weight will start coming off. I just have to find a walking route that I like, so I'll want to keep it up.
Good luck...I'll keep you posted.
