Polycystic kidney disease (PKD) is a progressive, genetic disorder of the kidneys. It occurs in humans and other organisms. PKD is characterised by the presence of multiple cysts (polycystic) in both kidneys. The disease can also damage the liver, pancreas and rarely the heart and brain.
Hi everyone, I just wanted to tell you all that Pam's husband has just emailed me to tell me that Pam is ok. She is still in recovery and looks like she is "death warmed over" He hopes that she will look better tomorow, has been at the hospital since 4:30 this morning. He was totally unprepared for what this really intails and is very worried about her.
He thanked me for caring about her and that he would email me more details in a couple days when he can tell me more. I don't think that many people realize how serious this surgery really is and this is just the beginning for Pam and her family. I will be saying some prayers for her tonight, that she and her family have the strength to endure whatever is coming~

So relieved to see that you're back with us. As you know by now, we've all been extremely worried about you. I'm sending the good vibes I sent to Lindsay when she had her surgery; hopefully you'll be feeling better before too long. Remember what everyone is saying - don't try to rush things. This will be a slow process, but we're all with you along the way.
