My husband suffers terribly from restless legs and he takes some stuff from the health food store called "Calm". It is magnesium citrate. He puts a scoop in hot water and drinks it about 1/2 hour before bed. It helps him immensely and he sleeps much better with it. As usual check with you dr first, but it may be worth a try.

Hi Norma,

I hope you find relief from the suffering in time for your holiday. It can take a while to completely rid your systen of the effects of undesirable drugs. Sometimes the ill effects are the result of interactions with other meds, supplements or even foods but it may be that they just don't suit you, as was the case with me and Ramipril. Yuk!

Thank you all so much for your replys. I actually slept last night, all night with no muscle spasms! I feel like a new person today but of course exhausted after months of this thing. Hope I can get rested up before we fly out on Tuesday, I am sure that I will. Thank you all again and I will be thinking of you as we sit on the beach in Venzula!

Cheryl, I forgot to add that about the Natural Calm as well! I have taken it for years to help me sleep, as well as back when I had leg cramps. See how we forget, anyway I do, hahaha.

Ok I missed your post before I posted mine with I'm Back!!. I honestly do not know what my kidney function is.. I have not been to a "real" Dr that would run tests in probably 2 years. I know bad right but I haven't had insurance because the pain got so bad I had to leave work. But anyways yes is my answer. My legs feel like they are going to break at times. It hurts in the front in my shins all the way up to my knees. Then it started hurting in the back of my legs and then my arms. I dread standing on my legs for very long at all. I went to the hospital over it cause it was so bad one day I just couldn't tolerate it anymore. I was in so much pain. And because of it I couldn't or "wouldn't" walk either. Mine started when I woke up blind one morning with a raging headache. Of course I didn't have money so refused to do anything about it so waited and waited and blindness slowly subsided. Three days later I go to local Health Dept. for my blood pressure meds and the Dr. asked me if I'd had a mild stroke. I said huh. He said looking in my eyes it appeared I may have had a mild stroke or TIA or TIB or called it something like that. And well since then they believe I've had another at least. But long story short they diagnosed me at the hospital with Neuropathy. I don't know much about it but I do know whatever is hurting my legs this bad and sometimes arms too is nothing at all to mess with... It hurts bad. I to tried to go on a trip to Atlanta last year with this problem.. I was absolutely miserable. Pain Pain Pain is all I could think about. I hope you do not have this same problem. But I had to say something cause it sounds similar. My pain feels like something is really wrong with my lower legs. It makes me not want to stand on them cause I feel like they may fail and I'll fall. Or the pain usually tells me not to get on then anyways.
