be very wary of these Chinese therapies, we get people promoting them on here frequently. when looked into they often seem to be scams.
you did not give any details or a link, which may be just as well.

Thanks for the advice.....Kidneys just hurt real bad especially at night...I wish we could find something that decreased the cysts or stop the growth or shrink them....Thanks for listening to me blab :) best wishes to you all ;) oh one more thing...my primary doc said start taking 1 asprin a day...isn't that bad?

Nobody with kidney disease should take aspirin, or any other NSAID. These drugs are harmful to the kidney. Why did your doctor suggest taking it? Only very rarely would the benefit (for the heart) outweigh the disadvantages for kidney patients. If you need pain relief, Tylenol is the first thing to try. It doesn't work for me, but that's another story.

Be careful what you put in your body. You don't want to do more harm than good. Always question what doctors say, especially if they are not kidney specialists. Many know very little about kidneys.

Ditto to what chewitt stated. NO aspirin, Advil, any anti inflammatory drugs! Drinks lots and lots of water. Try and get some exercise, whatever that may be. Most importantly get your self to a kidney doctor ASAP! If your pain is more than you can take, there are many prescription drugs you can take, when it is appropriate!

Awe thanks guys...I think the doc was thinking of my heart.....but I was questioning it.....I knew the no advil thing....Tried a prescription before for pain but no dice....I'm concentrating on being strong...I work at a vet clinic so those kittys and puppies make me smile every day :) Everyone have a blessed day ;)

I agree with Helen on the Chinese remedies/treatments! There are people on the group now who wish to recruit you for Chinese remedies so beware! I avoided NSAIDS, aspiriin too, but now am on a baby aspirin a day as it's supposedly beneficial for my mechanical heart valves.

If you go to the pkdcure.org website they just had a informational webinar earlier in March and the sessions should be posted soon, but they were talking about new drugs and therapies for PKD. I would ask your nephrologist about the aspirin. You may also want to talk to your nephrologist about aspirating a cyst or two to relieve the pain.
