Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) Support Group
Polycystic kidney disease (PKD) is a progressive, genetic disorder of the kidneys. It occurs in humans and other organisms. PKD is characterised by the presence of multiple cysts (polycystic) in both kidneys. The disease can also damage the liver, pancreas and rarely the heart and brain.
Losing your appetite when your sick is not unusual, and you do have to drink a lot of water.
Yet you must be aware that malnutrition can happen.
A body needs the proper amount of nutrition.
Remember, it's "only" your kidneys and possibly your liver that are diseased. The rest of your body still needs nutrients to function.
You certainly don't want to put your body in a wose state than it already is.
Let your doctor know about this situation.
And,,,hang in there!
Peace and Blessings!

the question is are you trying, or do you want to lose weight? if you are cutting back other than the soda, you are doing well. if this is an issue of appetite loss due to illness, not a good thing.
your picture does not look like an overweight woman.
