Physical & Emotional Abuse Support Group
Abuse is a general term for the treatment of someone that causes some kind of harm (to the abused person, to the abusers themselves, or to someone else) that is unlawful or wrongful. No one deserves abuse, period. Abuse can be emotional, physical, or sexual.
I am not sure if it is ok to discuss something like this on here, but I wanted to talk about something a bit lightheated for a change. Being in so many draining, abusive relationships has me trying to discover who I am again and well I thought maybe it might be nice to share on here what You do for fun, peace, relaxation...
Even though I am just starting to get back to me, here are a few of mine:
Horseback riding..though it has been far too long
Reading, generally crime fiction, horror and animal stories
Writing, used to write short stories, but now more poetry
Art, but have lost my skills
Anything to do with Nature
Fourwheeling on ATV's when I have access to them
Music of about all types
Rollerskating, but have not went lately as it triggers me because that was something me and the ex used to do
Movies..usually Action, some drama, some comedy
Oh and what are some new things you would like to try, but have not either out of unavailabilty, fear or finances?
A big one for me: Hanggliding

started a flower garden (in a box)
look around alittle more at the beauty of the world.
music (Christian) taking a thirty day challenge of that is all I am listening to
I have bought a bird feeder and I am amazed at all the birds
I like to garden, ride motorcycles, go to bike rallies, make jewelry, read. I'm working on learning to accept the things I have with gratitude.
I'd love to learn; Reiki, massage therapy and animal therapy...
so much to learn and do!
I see so much energy, light and positivity in all of you. There is so much in everyone that our abusers do NOT have and most likely were envious of. It is like they saw the light in us and tried to steal it, my opionion.
I would consider myself fortunate to meet any of you and everyone seems so much more interesting than "the exes" we talk of.
Yep! That's the way I felt. It was like she was jealous of me, and didn't like that I was happy. She'd always remark how "lucky" I was...
