Wondering if anyone is turning 70 or has recently? For me turning 70 has been daunting. Darker than earlier milestone birthdays. I want to know what others go through who weren't emotionally supported as children. I just started a website where people can discuss experiences and thoughts about aging in general or in particular turning 70 years old. i'm going to turn 68 soon, but i had my share of a abuse ' I just published a journal, called Annies abuse, it was hard to write, many question my sanity but all that read it were touched by my words. i wrote it help others so they can avoid my mistake and its for court system and how they handle people like me, the idea is to make this a better place to heal and have the punishment match the crime ,hope everyone that reads it gets the message, and if it helps just one person, i'll be glad i wrote it.

not really, i always stay about 50,, no matter how old i get my journal is done, and published just trying to find the right place for it. it would be a same that it would just sit there and go unread,. the people who read it were deeply moved, but i need to know where it will do the most good.

I wish I could help you. I’ve done some work that people liked - very hard to get published without a good connection. Many fine writers have worked doggedly for years before it happens. Have you considered a FB page?

Funny, up until very recently, the mental picture I had of myself was about 50 years. I still hate looking at myself in the barber shop mirror, the damn fluorescent lights!

Hi Bernie. I am 66 & hail from a cold, intolerant, dysfunctional family. Am estranged from 3 brothers & in a marriage with an emotionally abusive sociopath. I have low self esteem & never had confidence to get out. Also, nowhere to go. I am nervous & frightened. Think of suicide often.
