I am in a bad place today emotionally. It is my house. The plan is that he is leaving. He agrees to it. Easily. I feel like this is also a ploy to work me up. To be nonchalant. It does work me up, I am not sure why. I want him to be devastated. He won't be..my head knows this. Of course if he actually follows through remains to be seen. I want peace...what is this part of me that is bothered that he is going?

I think the biggest thing you said is "I want him to be devastated."

Why?

The sooner you admit that you are a willing participant in the drama, the sooner you'll be able to make the change to emotionally disengage.

I'm saying that from the position to also playing games with my ex.

I think there is a disappointment in finding out that he didn't love you as much as you loved the person you thought he was. It takes a while for the truth to sink in. The fact is that he wouldn't be abusive if he cared about you, so his behavior now of not caring (or pretending, it doesn't really matter which) is further confirmation that you have made an excellent decision. Just go ahead and get yourself free. You will thank yourself a million times over.
