Abuse is a general term for the treatment of someone that causes some kind of harm (to the abused person, to the abusers themselves, or to someone else) that is unlawful or wrongful. No one deserves abuse, period. Abuse can be emotional, physical, or sexual.
Starting to feel overwhelmed.

I'm just starting to get back my will to live. I don't want to go to prison. Even if this detective also sees that the case is a joke, they're just going to keep coming. To keep trying. I can't even bring myself to audition for anything right now, because the shows are overlapping the court dates.
Even if I survive, even if I put my life back together, even if I figure it all out... even if I don't. it doesn't matter. They're never going to leave me alone, no matter how much I leave them alone. They don't even want to destroy me - I'm just a centipede who gives them a jolt of power whenever they pull off a leg. And I only have so many left.

That centipede metaphor is a very good one...I have felt the same piece-by-piece destruction of my freedom and spirit.
But also remember who they are. A narcissist's ego may be their strength but it is also their weakness. These people all too often shoot themselves in the foot and the truth comes spilling out.
I pray that the deciding forces see through the evil smokescreen and grant you peace.

I know I've mentioned this before, but you also have the right to file a defamation suit..... You don't have to go after money (assuming he has any) you can seek a court order to force him to stop talking about you
