Abuse is a general term for the treatment of someone that causes some kind of harm (to the abused person, to the abusers themselves, or to someone else) that is unlawful or wrongful. No one deserves abuse, period. Abuse can be emotional, physical, or sexual.

But a local news network aired a story last night that
totally sickened me. I'm pasting it in below, at the
bottom of which, is a link to a web-page that shows
the image of this piece-of-crud predator. Can you

Seattle man claims he has 'contract' allowing him to abuse pregnant girlfriend
SEATTLE - King County, Wash. prosecutors are accusing a man with having so much power over his teenage girlfriend, that he actually got her to sign a contract giving him permission to beat her up.
Graydon Smith was convicted of domestic violence in 2003 and now he's back in jail facing five more counts of domestic violence and assault.
Repeated abuse, counselors say they see far too often.
Barbara Langdon is Executive Director of the Eastside Domestic Violence Program. She says, "They'll offend and the person will get out and repeat again with another partner, another spouse and it keeps going on and on and on."
According to court documents Smith, not only abused his pregnant 19-year-old girlfriend physically and emotionally, he put it in writing, forcing her to sign a contract allowing him to "physically assault her on any part of her body except for her pregnant belly."
Smith apparently thought the contract was enough to protect him. In fact when he was arrested police say they found his girlfriend with a swollen bloody lip, a cut on her chin, red marks on both sides of her neck and a lump on the back of her head.
Langdon says, "Somehow if I put it on paper it's OK? There are two scary parts of that. Number one the law is the law and you can't batter somebody."
What's worse, prosecutors say this has been going on for a long time.
They say there was evidence of, "psychological, physical and sexual abuse caused by multiple incidents over a long period of time." They also say he threatened to kill her.
Domestic violence counselors say women simply have to free themselves of abusive boyfriends or spouses before bad turns into something much worse.
Langdon says, "So many victims get stuck and they think there is no hope but for every case like this there are hundreds of stories of women calling for help and getting out of abusive relationships and they go on to live happy and healthy lives."
Smith was being held in the King County jail on $145,000 bail.

And yes, I am sure he thought it was okay to beat her since she 'said he could.'
This is example is kinda similar but not nearly as dis-heartening. My ex said he wanted to see other girls and if i wanted to be with him I would have to let him do that. I was so whipped on him and so willing to do anything to make the relationship work that I agreed. I told him I would not get mad at him for going out with other girls. So I 'gave him permission' to cheat on me so he thought he was doing nothing wrong. I know I was a fool to let him do that to me... it messed with my self-esteem so bad.
