Physical & Emotional Abuse Support Group
Abuse is a general term for the treatment of someone that causes some kind of harm (to the abused person, to the abusers themselves, or to someone else) that is unlawful or wrongful. No one deserves abuse, period. Abuse can be emotional, physical, or sexual.
Thank goodness the angels didn't let anything happen to our angel!
- Btw they are alwys there for us, especially in our relationship woes with Nars....
to follow up.
I was pretty nervous getting out
on the road, Monday morning.
The first leg of my drive was
pretty tense. By the time I was
headed home, I felt normal again.
Regarding the balloons: The
cops had them in their hands,
but they popped them. . . didn't
take fingerprints. So. . . if they
didn't have a lead on how to
follow up, I'm afraid I have no
further idea on how to learn
who left the balloons on the
highway. I suspect they
belonged to a bunch that
someone had in their car
on their way to a party. They
rolled the window down and
the balloons flew out.
Re: health insurance. . . . .
I'm a middle age woman
who works out with both
Yoga and aerobics virtually
every day. I eat well and
practice meticulous self-care.
I have some minor, chronic stuff,
but nothing the least bit serious.
I've been trying to find health
insurance which I can afford for
the past five months. I'm about
to get militant when it comes to
universal coverage. If Friday's
accident had sent me to the
hospital. . . . . . I'd have lost
the tiny amount of assets
I've managed to accrue and
would have ended up destitute.
I'm gratefull to my angels for
their love and protection. And
I'm grateful to all you for your
support.
got me to thinking.
I don't think the balloons
were released on purpose
but I believe that they got
sucked out of somebody's
vehicle.
I've driven to places with one
or a couple balloons in the car.
If the windows are all rolled up
shut, that's fine. Nothing awful
happens. But the least little
crack in a window can start
the balloons flapping around
inside the vehicle.
And if there's enough of a draft
and the balloons aren't firmly
secured inside the car, then
the bundle can get pulled out.
I've never thought of this
before. But no one ever
buys balloons and walks
home. We all buy balloons
and then get into a car or
SUV or truck, and drive on
to a party of some sort. On
the way there, the balloons
flap around inside the car
or ----- as happened some
time just prior to my arrival
at that stretch of highway ----
fly out.
It sounds kind of funny
but it could have ruined
my life or ended it, or
devastated others.
So. . . . for a start. . . . .
if you ever have occasion
to buy one or more balloons
and then get in a vehicle to
transport them to their destination
. . . . . please. . . . . SECURE them
inside the vehicle, so they don't
fly into the driver's vision or get
pulled from inside the car and
cause what happened to me
. . . . . . or worse.
What an experience that must have been for you. I'm glad that you shared with the group and very glad that you are okay.
Peace & Blessings,
Laura
