Abuse is a general term for the treatment of someone that causes some kind of harm (to the abused person, to the abusers themselves, or to someone else) that is unlawful or wrongful. No one deserves abuse, period. Abuse can be emotional, physical, or sexual.
Driving home Friday night after
a long day and many miles driven,
I had a terrifying accident on Rte. 8
in the Beacon Fall gorge. It's a two-
lane winding "highway" with a stretch
of road, ([i]this[/i] stretch of road,)
that I suspect may be an energy vortex.
I could have been killed or crippled six
different ways. Others could have
gone down with me.
I walked away. After the wrecker
pulled the car off the exit sign, I
drove home. The only other driver
who was involved was an off-duty
Naugatuck cop who was driving
with his family behind me. He
witnessed what happened and
pulled off the road just in front of
me, and was out of his car to
help me as I jumped out from
mine.
I had angels all over me.
(He had to be one of them.)
It was 7:15, so it was dark. I'd
just passed the Cross Street exit.
The next thing I remember is that
there were balloons. I honestly
don't remember if I saw them on
the road or if they were floating
around, or what. When I saw
them, I must have reflexively
hit the brake. Everything
locked up. I realized I was
in a skid. Any attempt to
recover, just sent me in a
different direction. I thought
I was probably about to plow
into another car. Never did.
My car skidded backwards,
right up onto the #24 exit sign.
I plowed it down. It probably
helped bring me to a stop.
The off-duty officer said he
saw the balloons and saw
me go into the skid. He
said I probably spun around
at least three times; the car
travelled about 25 feet.
When he saw I was okay, he
started making calls, and the
Beacon Falls cops were there
in minutes. He sent his family
on their way, and called a buddy
to come pick him up, so he
could give his witness report.
When the cops came, they
picked up handfuls of the balloons,
so they knew I wasn't making it up.
Getting the car off the sign cost
me a hundred bucks. They looked
over the car; I drove it through
Beacon Falls so they could
look at it in the light. And then
I drove home. There's a tiny
dent in the back bumper and
a minor scuff. I've had worse
damage happen in a parking
lot.
But, as it happens, at this moment,
I have no health insurance. I have
an application pending, that I'm
waiting to hear about. If I'd have
needed care, I could have lost
everything.
I'll wrap it up here. I'm okay. I
took it easy, over the weekend.
I have plenty to do, but I'm just
enjoying having survived the

I know that stretch of road....and yes it's beautiful, but windy. I don't travel it often but next time I do, I am gonna pay attention to the energy vortex thing. Beacon Falls is a town out of a movie, perched up on the hills there, overlooking that gorge...
I am sooo glad you are ok, physically. I know you are ok, all the other ways too, but still, it had to shake you up. Glad you took it easy.

It almost seems like a dream now.
I haven't been out in the car
since I pulled into the driveway,
Friday night.
I can't just stop driving, so I hope I
won't be haunted by the feeling
of spinning out.
I fundamentally like driving,
always have. I hope that'll
be what I feel when I drive
this week.
I hope I never see anymore
balloons in the road!!!!!!!!

I'm glad you are ok.
So strange.........and balloons of all things as your distraction........usually think of celebrations of some kind...birthdays, weddings, etc. I wonder what they were from? Idk but I would be considering looking into finding out since if they were released in that area again the same thing could happen to someone else.
And then there's that exit sign.....what is the universe telling you to exit or to stop? Hmmmm................
I'm not so sure about an energy vortex but you never know.......maybe a time shift, putting the right person at the right time, behind you...........
