Abuse is a general term for the treatment of someone that causes some kind of harm (to the abused person, to the abusers themselves, or to someone else) that is unlawful or wrongful. No one deserves abuse, period. Abuse can be emotional, physical, or sexual.
So I'll keep this short. Long"discussion"last night, about 4+ hours. He pulled out the big guns and said some pretty hurtful, evil things to which iTRIED not to respond too much. Anyway, after keeping me up badgering me until almost 3am, he asks me to please just look at him. I do and he says in this lost little boy way "you still love me don't you". I honestly found myself almost feeling sorry for HIM (almost). It was like a child that throws a tantrum and then I'd afraid of losing a parent's love. WTF? Is this manipulation or its there something seriously wrong with him?
That whirlpool of severe hurt you're currently in? All created by said little boy.
I once read that expecting a narcissist to behave like an adult is like handing worldly power, including deadly weapons, to a six-year-old. Inadvisable and dangerous.
I have totally made the same observation as you... shortly before realising that my best bet was to start running. Hugs xxx
