He keeps sending me text messages "by mistake" meant for other people. But they just all happen to be things that would provoke a reaction in me. Such as texts to friends about how i am crushing him, or breaking his heart, or him telling someone no, he can't forget about me because I'm his girl and he loves me. It seems on purpose to me.

It sounds like he is full of games....This is a tactic that manipulators use to get what they want. Don't fall for none of this.... Protect yourself and be ahead of the game. He is accidently texting you "so you can send him a response". Follow your instincts cause it is on purpose.
