Physical & Emotional Abuse Support Group
Abuse is a general term for the treatment of someone that causes some kind of harm (to the abused person, to the abusers themselves, or to someone else) that is unlawful or wrongful. No one deserves abuse, period. Abuse can be emotional, physical, or sexual.
Screaming is not a respectful
manner of communication.
A lack of respect is an indicator
of abuse.
There is no need to scream, when
two people are trying a reaching agreement.
When someone screams, the screamer
is not trying to reach an agreement. He
(or she) is trying to bullly the other party
into surrendering. This is not agreement.
This is tyranical.
Screaming is an indicator of abuse.
Of course, then he's just condescending about letting me talk... "Oh of COURSE you can finish your sentence. By all MEANS, go ahead and TALK. Talk ALL you want, I'm TOTALLY listening."
Sometimes, screaming is defense rather than offense.
Any one toxic enough to
elicit a dysfunctional
response from us,
is a danger to be around.
and Like Nyc said, he's trying to intimidate you.
Wow, those are some bad memories.
