Abuse is a general term for the treatment of someone that causes some kind of harm (to the abused person, to the abusers themselves, or to someone else) that is unlawful or wrongful. No one deserves abuse, period. Abuse can be emotional, physical, or sexual.
I have always handled all of the finances in our marriage. My husband has no clue of what I deal with in trying to pay everything while digging us out of the financial hole he put us in. Of course I do it all wrong and if we have no money it has to be because I am spending it!!! Anyway, I know that some of you have already left your husbands and I wonder how you handled this aspect of the break up. I plan to leave one day while he is at work, however, I don't know how this will all work out. Any suggestions???
I don't know what your situation is, but you can at least put your money into your own account, I would think.
I paid for everything for 13 years.
Our credit cards were in my name only for the last 2 years.
He had to go get his own. After he was gone I told the collectors that called that it was their own stupidity to give an insane idiot a line of credit and I was not paying them anything. They never called back.
After he was gone I felt really great about the amount of money I could save without him around.
