Hi hon... Happy New Years! Yep... I'm home too! But, he's here which makes it "eggshell" time so I don't know whats worst! I'm here with ya! Cheers! Let's all have a much better New Year... shall we?

I was alone as well. ( well, with a bottle of red) I had a nice surprise though, as two friends popped up on Skpe and I could chat to them via internet video.
Next year will be different.

Well, I was home too....loaded with the cold and NO alcohol!!! Im not a HUGE fan of Old Years Night as I find it very emotional and only end of crying!!! So, instead I was in my bed at 11pm. I was reading a book and I heard the church bells ring and a few fireworks go off, just as I was drifting into a nice sleep.

This morning I have woken up, knowing its a new year, a new start and looking forward to all 2009 can bring.

By the way Meg...try and make a pledge to yourself that you will NOT be in the same position next year. There is NO need for a young girl to be forced into staying at home when they want to go out and you should realise this and TRY to make some changes....for YOU!

Yes, I'm alone too on New Years. Mostly because i don't have any friends either. Any my family lives far away (besides the fact that my mom is crazy and emotionally abusive so it's prob best I'm not there with her). I cried a lot tonight though.

oh yes i'm home for my new years. my son got sick 2 days before new years eve so i had to cancel my plans to see old high school friends and have are children get together and play like we did as kids. so need less to say i ended up with 2 sick kids the night of. i put them to bed extra early. opened a bottle of wine and talked with ppl online..i do that a lot do to my anxeity.. but as the night past 7pm and it starte d to slowly get colder and colder in my home i realized (panic striken and crying) that our furnace stopped working. So i was forced to plug in the space heaters one on my kids room and one in mine. I put my electric blanket it on my bed and called family members to help out (i was crying because i had already paid all my bills for the entire month and was left with 100 bucks to live off of (i get my food free) )
so my new year is off to a jumpy start but i'm free to START MY LIFE ALL OVER AGAIN SINGLE AND LOVING IT
(i need the space and time to heal from all the bad things i've dealt with)

I wish I had been home alone. My husband drank the following for our first married New Year's Eve together:

2 bottles of Sake
4 beers
2 glasses of wine
3 glasses of Champagne

He could barely stand up and was literally bouncing off walls. The walls were holding him up as he tried to walk. I got a lecture on how I am a hypocrite, and how I need humility. He even picked on my reading material, he said that reading Reader's Digest was beneath my intelligence, which came off as a backhanded compliment because he was making fun of me.
Alone on New Year's Eve? I can guarantee you, I WILL BE HAPPY TO BE ALONE NEXT YEAR!

I sat home fighting with my guy...wished I was alone...

I spent mine locked up in my bedroom...crying into my pillow...at least I had my little granddaughter sleeping next to me..just looking at her beautiful little face sleeping peacefully brings me so much joy!! She is the sunshine of my life...a true blessing from God.
