Physical & Emotional Abuse Support Group
Abuse is a general term for the treatment of someone that causes some kind of harm (to the abused person, to the abusers themselves, or to someone else) that is unlawful or wrongful. No one deserves abuse, period. Abuse can be emotional, physical, or sexual.

I will try to make this brief.
I am a 61 yr old female who works for the postal service 20 hours a week and I suffer with severe emphysema and bronchitis (COPD). I am an only child whose parents have passed on. I have 3 children. My oldest was born with severe cerebral palsy and lives in a nearby group home. My husband while drunk attempted to grope my youngest daughter when she was 16 and because I chose to stay with him and deny her claims she has isolated herself from me. My middle child, my son has become estranged because he has made some stupid choices that my husband said were direct attacks at him (like losing an dream city job) he helped him to get on his feet to get....anyway I've lost contact with my son also so what it boils down to is all I have is me.
My husband drinks most every evening and mostly with an alcoholic married neighbor woman that doesn't work. I tried to befriend her but I don't drink anymore. I told her my husband was trolling the internet looking for hookups and I was unhappy but I had no where to go. She has met my oldest daughter at Christmas at my house. She also has met my son at my house and she asked why she had never met my youngest daughter. I told her about what my husband had done to my daughter 15 years ago. She started crying and I figured it was fishing but she was have crocked so I asked...you know how grabby and free with his hands he gets when he drunk.....she said I can't hear anymore. This woman (56) runs the neighborhood braless and usually ripped to the fits. Anyway she turned pale when I said my daughter said my husband had asked her" do you want to fool around" and said he had said the same thing to her. By then we were both crying and she said my husband grabbed at her a couple of time because he just wanted to touch her titties and they was in his face when they was working on a household project at her house. Anyway Thursday I walked into my garage and they were sitting half crocked drinking together. The sheepish look they both had said everything I needed to know and I almost had an asthma attack and all I could do was mutter a few words about dinner and rush back into the house. They came in a few minutes later whispering as they came in the back door and she tried to come sit next to me and act normal but I told her to get away from me so she left my house.
My husband blew up at me when I confronted him with some of his trolling emails I had forwarded to my tablet and what my neighbor had said he had done. He said I am sexually useless and a turn off because of my disease and if I would listen to him he could get me well but I haven't tried since I was diagnosed a year and a half ago. He said I drove him to other women because my sickness has made me a cock block.
He said he is divorcing me and buying me out on my half of the mobile home but the property he bought while we were living together but not yet married.
I guess my question is....can he just throw his disabled wife out with nobody to go to and nowhere to go? Has anyone experienced this.
I have been in one long horrible breathing attack since this happened and I've thought of going to the ER because my breathing is bad. He said because I still smoke (very little) sometimes is why I'm not well.n

My one joy in this was to see his profile with chemistry.com says he is looking for women 18-35. He is 58 and needs a pill to perform. I'd give my front seat in hell to be a fly on the wall during this hookup. Unless she is being paid ( some ads have been for Craig's list) a pretty young woman would say no way, point and laugh.
Sorry but I need to laugh.

I always find it amazing how the abusers can turn things around to justify their rotten behavior.
It also amazes me that they can always find another sucker to wait in the wings.
Once you've quit drinking, the behaviors of drunks just seem so darn disgusting, eh?
Glad that you will be receiving benefits soon. You will then have the $ to move on and to fight with.
He is just mad that you caught him/ them in actions behind your back.
IMHO, you deserve a much better life.
Again, as stated to all, i'm sure that any battered women's shelter in your area could aid you in the laws in your state, and you could get some counselling to aid in growing strength.
Being disabled may also gain you access to a social worker, who may also aid in advice.

You say he abused your dtr sexually and you stayed? I don't get this.
He sounds like an abuser and a controller.
Another thing, most 16 year olds don't lie about being abused and it is more common than you can believe. He is an alcoholic too, so even more reason to believe her. I don't know why you didn't believe her but if you do now, go to that woman and tell her ... Lord, the damage he did.
Good that you can get away from him. Really hard. Abusers lie and tell you and threaten you so if you fear for your life, contact domestic violence services.
"I told her about what my husband had done to my daughter 15 years ago"
It sounds like you DID believe your daughter or you would never have said this to your neighbor. that her alchoholic father abused her and yet you stayed. Maybe you had no choice? But you betrayed your daughter. She has a very good reason to have left you.
I would get on my hand and knees and beg for forgiveness.
