Physical & Emotional Abuse Support Group
Abuse is a general term for the treatment of someone that causes some kind of harm (to the abused person, to the abusers themselves, or to someone else) that is unlawful or wrongful. No one deserves abuse, period. Abuse can be emotional, physical, or sexual.

As I have started to either regain or make new friends and meet new people, I find that I am so paranoid. The ex played so many games, doing inappropriate behavior on purpose to see how I would respond and then if I responded making me feel like a spy for noticing, or that I was overly jealous for wondering where he was, or like a psycho for getting mad about it.
An example, a girlfriend (who is seeing the roommate of a male friend of mine) was driving in the middle of the night with snow on the ground to their apartment. I was online chatting with my friend and after about 40 minutes, we began to worry because it is a 20 minute drive usually. Her boyfriend tried to call, I tried to call. After more than an hour, and it seeming she was hitting ignore on the phone, my first thought was that she was really already at their apartment and everyone was just messing with me. I knew immediately this was really a paranoid thought, but it really was how I felt and I have had many similar situations/feelings since I have been away and trying to re-enter the real world. There are times I realliy wonder if I will ever feel normal again!

I had gone to the grocery store. When I wheeled my cartback to my car I just stool there a minute. A few spacesaway a Tesla Cyber truck was parked. I had seen it on theroad a few times for a few seconds. But not close up.It looked like it belonged to 2126 and not 2026. I wasgoing to take a picture of the car but the owners cameback and drove away. It was an ordinary middle age...

All you can do, I suppose, is remind yourself (when the paranoia hits) of what it is you are really doing - which is treating them as if they were your abuser. And try not to let it rule you or ruin your friendships.
