Physical & Emotional Abuse Support Group
Abuse is a general term for the treatment of someone that causes some kind of harm (to the abused person, to the abusers themselves, or to someone else) that is unlawful or wrongful. No one deserves abuse, period. Abuse can be emotional, physical, or sexual.
Make plans for your own future as well. Next year you are out, right?
I'm so sorry this is happening to you.
Is there a counselor at school
you could talk to? Or someone
at your church or synagogue?
No one has the right to be
abusive to you in any way.
Please reach out for support.
It IS out there. If none of my
other suggestions work for
you, please call:

That's the agency that
works against abuse
in your state. Mostly,
they help people who
are in abusive couple
relationships. But
that's NOT the only
people they help.
They're there to help
ANYONE who's
being abused
by ANYONE.
Please talk to or
call one of those
people or the agency.
Sending you hugs
and healing wishes.
That being said, we've got some pretty wise and warm-hearted folks around here, too. So, whatever help you're most comfortable reaching out for, I encourage you to get it. Abuse is nothing to try and tackle alone.
Welcome - we understand, and will do our best not to judge:)
I can also verify that the support lines I have called do not report people without your permission. I called some that Baxjanson listed. They are there to listen, not to set things in motion without your say-so.
You call them to vent, get advice and support, and they will only intervene in your situation if you explicitly ask them to. If you call and just want to put the phone down and have it be over afterwards, that's fine too.
Hope you find peace and comfort xxx
Why should your mother get upset if you're trying to find an answer to where to look for help? I don't doubt that she will - but SHOULD she? Is that reasonable behavior on her part? You do what you need to do - big step just coming here. Great job with that - I know that can be intimidating.
Be safe, be careful, and learn. And don't be afraid to reach out when you feel safe doing so - there are folks who want to help, even if it's just helping you keep a cool head on your shoulders.
Could you ask a friend if you could phone the support line from their house so your mother would not know? Or could you use a call box outside? Maybe school would let you use one of their phones if you asked them?
Stay strong. I know it's hard, but we are all here for you. There WILL be some way for you to get support :)
Take care xx
Isolation is one of the strongest and most important steps in brainwshing and abuse. Now, I know my wife always pointed out to me how awkward I was in social situations, how people wouldn't tell me if I was making them angry, how quiet and shy I was, and that's all right, because I had her to do the talking for me. It got to the point where I had to steel myself up to ask the cashier for help, honestly expecting a reaction of anger and irritation.
It sounds to me like this friend might be reaching out to offer you support. If you trust him - in your own time - it seems he might be one to offer you encouragement and support. It's invaluable.
We're pulling for you!
