Physical & Emotional Abuse Support Group
Abuse is a general term for the treatment of someone that causes some kind of harm (to the abused person, to the abusers themselves, or to someone else) that is unlawful or wrongful. No one deserves abuse, period. Abuse can be emotional, physical, or sexual.

My two cents? Get out of that environment wihile he's still there. His crap would be on the doorstep, NOW , if he pulled that stunt with my kid. Having said that, my experience tells me that they never "leave quietly." Get somewhere safe until the 21st, then. Stay with a friend or relative, if you can. If not, there are resources/shelters/programs in most counties for women with children. You need to be alive more than you need to go to concerts. He is not your ally or part of your support system. If he can hurt his wife's child, (you) then he can hurt/abuse your's. Think about it. You've got to become "mama grizzly" and protect you and your child. Your Mom may very well want you to stay to take the heat off of her, but she needs to deal with him, herself. You can't fix her nightmare. You have to live for you and your child. I wish you all the best, my dear.
And I want to exhort you in this: for the record, he is living proof that "being married" doesn't mean you picked a good man. It isn't validation of you or the end-all, BE-all to life as a woman and mother, to simply "get married." This isn't 1676, and women have choices and options. Our value goes WAY beyond what "having a husband" offers. If you meet a man who is good to you, and you WANT to get married, some day, then fine. If not, that's fine too. Don't let an asshole like him dump a boatload of shame on to you, just because he's a raging animal who needs a cage! You get no condemnation from me, or from the One who created you and loves you perfectly. Stay strong and fight for yourself and your child. You deserve better.
