In general, I haven't posted lots of
personal threads ---- partly because
for many of the years I've been on
DS, my personal life has been
relatively uneventful.

But I'll share that over the course
of 2013, I've reconnected with a
man who used to be important
in my life, long ago.

Any relationship is a risk, and I'm
crystal clear that this one in particular,
has potential pitfalls.

On the plus side, at least I know where
those pitfalls are.

I'm prepared (or at least preparing),
to commit to this relationship, long
term. We're past the "honeymoon"
moments, but it's still looking
promising.

I have spent many years on my own.
Much of that time has been really
great. Once in awhile, I've felt
lonely. I'm grateful for the time
I was solo. Being single, I had
to grow and strengthen my self-
reliance in all aspects of life.
That's never a bad thing.

Now I'm looking forward to a
period of being part of a couple.
At this stage of life, "forever"
isn't nearly as long as it used
to be.

I hope you'll send me your good
wishes and, if you pray, prayers
for satisfaction and happiness.

And I will return those wishes
and prayers, and send them
right back to you, for Your
satisfaction and happiness.
