I've known so many relationships where both were abusive to each other. It always seems to be an excuse that "she (or he) did it to me".

Tragic.

At this point in my life, it's about trying to figure out how to raise children that will 1) not be abusive, 2) not put up with abuse, 3) have compassion with both the abuser and the abused.

My son was just in middle school when a kid at his lunch table talked about cutting.
