Physical & Emotional Abuse Support Group
Abuse is a general term for the treatment of someone that causes some kind of harm (to the abused person, to the abusers themselves, or to someone else) that is unlawful or wrongful. No one deserves abuse, period. Abuse can be emotional, physical, or sexual.
You need, more than
anything else, to talk
with someone. . . . .
preferably someone
who can help support
your well-being and
also your siblings'
well-being.
A school counselor
sounds like a very
good place to start!
intelligent, compassionate
young woman and you
are doing the right thing.
Sending you hugs
and prayers for
courage and
all good things.
They will provide you with resources of any nature. If you want out of the relationship or just want to separate for a while....they will help you.
I have gone to a women's shelter and found all kinds of support and resources myself. If nothing else, there is someone to lend you an ear.
Youth pastor....nothing wrong with that but they are not educated in the subject as much as a shelter. Shelters only deal with and help those who are being abused.
Can she reach out to a women's shelter and just TALK for now without having to leave just yet. Can she talk confidentially and get advice on what to do?
Shelters are usually
a branch of women's centers
which are there to see to lots
of different kinds of needs
that families have. There
are usually counselors
there who talk to people,
mostly women, who are
there for lots of different
reasons, not just to take
refuge in a shelter. Talking
to someone at a women's
center could be a good idea.
What happened last night
about talking to the
counselor at school?
From where I sit, that's
your best place to start.
