The loss of a pet or animal to which one has become emotionally bonded can be an intense loss, comparable with the death of a loved one. Whilst there is strong evidence that animals can feel such loss for other animals, this community focuses on human feelings, when an animal is lost, dies or otherwise is departed.
I ordered 2 books to try to get a better understanding and one came today. I opened it right away,it came with a CD w/4 songs.I was looking for a special song that I could listen to when I needed quiet time with my thoughts of my babyboy.I listened to them and was a bit overwhelmed and yes I cried like I did that day.First song is "at the edge of the rainbow bridge" Am crying just thinking about it.The book is called "Goodbye,My Friend" celebrating the memory of a pet by Devon O'Day. I would recommend it to anyone searching for that special song .I ordered from Barnes & Noble online and got it for 6 dollars.
And I remember it now.. Now that my baby boy punk dogger.. is being put to sleep.. just the mention of it, brings back so many memories...
But.. I do have some comforting songs too.. but they still make me cry.. But yes.. I understand.
