The loss of a pet or animal to which one has become emotionally bonded can be an intense loss, comparable with the death of a loved one. Whilst there is strong evidence that animals can feel such loss for other animals, this community focuses on human feelings, when an animal is lost, dies or otherwise is departed.
last Halloween, i was walking my 3 yorkies like usual of lead with them running ahead when all the sudden my little Sasha ran in front of a car and died in front of me, my heart stopped and the horror i have faced since, people say it was not my fault as i could not predict what was going to happen, but in reality i should have had them all on a lead, and she was my heart and saul, she was my best friend, she new feelings i did not know i had, im so sorry i let you down and you was only 5 years old, the hurt and sleepless nights even thinking about you kills me every day, we did get another yorkie to make up to 3 and called her sasha 2 , but in reality she is nothing like her and that was a mistake but of course she is special in her own way and she has a home for life but of course on leads at all times when walking, miss you sasha 1 and always will .

Ever since I stopped doing therapy because of insurance, I've been feeling that old tense and irritable sense of anxiety and stress. I hate that.
