Pet Bereavement Support Group
The loss of a pet or animal to which one has become emotionally bonded can be an intense loss, comparable with the death of a loved one. Whilst there is strong evidence that animals can feel such loss for other animals, this community focuses on human feelings, when an animal is lost, dies or otherwise is departed.

Ive had many moments of really deeply feeling the loss of my Rupert at what seem to be odd times and places. I went out of town recently, and missed him terribly. I dont know if it was because it was the first time Id been there since he passed, and I knew he wouldnt be there to greet me when I got back this time. Or maybe it was because I felt particularly alone on this business trip.
But last night was the weirdest. AT THE KATY PERRY CONCERT. :)
Im not super-familiar with all her music, so when she started to sing Unconditionally, I didnt have any thoughts one way or another beyond, Have I heard this one or not? But immediately after having that thought, I listened to the words and thought of Rupert. It made me cry. I know thats how he loved us.
I hope he knew he was loved in the same way, and still is.

I invited Bill to have dinner with me last Sunday. He wasn't willing to drive 7 hours to mid Michigan and teased me with his beautiful ribs!!! So, of course I ate alone and had cedar salmonĀ

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....
