Hey, Dawn. I think that people just don't pay attention to what is going on at all. Either that, or she just didn't know how to handle the loss of your pet. I know it sounds crazy, but inexperienced people say all sorts of inappropriate stuff at all the wrong times. Call up and ask for a supervisor, then tell them what the gal had said. They need to be aware of it so it doesn't happen to anyone else. Stick to your guns until you are satisfied with the results.

There are 3 kinds of people: totally non-animal people, animal people who regard the pet as just a pet, and those of us whose pets are an integral part of the family. Unfortunately, it sounds as if you have been dealing with the first two and not with anyone who regards their pet as family. I am so sorry that people have been saying rude things to you. They should know better. But, I guess if they did, they wouldn't have said those horrid things to you!! lol

When someone asks when you are going to replace your beloved pet, ask them what an appropriate time frame would be to replace their spouse or child!!

we had a similar experience with a Pet Insurance Company that goes by the initials PP. A claim went in for an emergency C-section that she needed, and then a few days later another claim went in for further veterinary treatment and it clearly stated on it that she had passed away. However we noticed the following month that they had still taken out our payment for her. We also had a letter from them saying that they were sorry that she had died but that what we were claiming for were not covered under the policy. So they were fully aware that she had passed on, but still taking the money out. When we queried it they said we hadn't notified them of the death and I told them the vet had on a claim form and I had received a letter from them acknowledging that she had passed away but the claim was invalid. no apology received to this point and no refund !!!!

Is Pet Insurance for th most part worth it? I have had overall bad luck with insurance companies in general,but I have currently 3 dogs and 4 cats.I just spent $2800.00 when my dog was hit and she luckily recovered,so I am wondering would it have saved me much money. Does anyone know much about them? Thanks so much. Sorry for you all who were treated so badly by them,makes it sound like any insurance co anywhere to me.

Do pet insurers expect us to pay all bills upfront and then get re-imbursed? Not everyone has thousands of dollars to pay upfront--that is why you get pet insurance!

Hi everyone,My dog had to have a couple of expensive ops which the insurance did cover however on the whole i think to paid in just as much to the insures over the 10 years we had my dog.
I live in England so i don`t know if it is the same in Usa.Over here I had to pay the first 65.00 which is standard then 30% of the rest of the bill because she was over 8 years old.
There are lots of thing they will not cover so you have to read the small print.My dog was a st bernard and just her size and weight made vet bills more expensive so we had her insured from a pup.
Pet Insurance is ok however the company need to train there staff better.
