Personality disorders form a class of mental disorders that are characterized by long-lasting rigid patterns of thought and behaviour. Personality disorders are seen by the American Psychiatric Association as an enduring pattern of inner experience and behavior that deviates markedly from the expectations of the culture of the individual who exhibits it.

What sort of situations are you talking about? Are you or have you had DBT therapy before? It may be a case that you haven't yet learned how to "identify" no feasible situations and how to avoid them if necessary.
Sleeping pills will temporarily allow you to "avoid" the problem but the issues and problems are still going to be there when you wake up. You need to implement coping skills and mechanisms and identification skills.
