Personality Disorders Support Group
Personality disorders form a class of mental disorders that are characterized by long-lasting rigid patterns of thought and behaviour. Personality disorders are seen by the American Psychiatric Association as an enduring pattern of inner experience and behavior that deviates markedly from the expectations of the culture of the individual who exhibits it.

Does anyone else suffer with Dissociation here? Sometimes I get these feelings like everything around me is unreal. Like I'll be watching TV and suddenly I'm looking AT the TV and it seems almost...I don't know, strange and like it has no purpose. Then when I look at everything else in the room I get the same feeling. It feels like a dream. Then it'll usually follow with thought patterns like everything is pointless. I'll look at objects and think 'what's the point in that?'
It's really irrational, but I've always been a rational person. It's just weird and kinda freaks me out sometimes. To think things around you have no purpose and so make you wonder what is real and what's not.
I also have problems with connecting with my diaries. I have to write them as part of my therapy. I suffer with Bipolar as well and when I'm feeling good, I'll look back in my diaries and I just don't 'connect' with the feelings I had on the bad days. And the same the other way around. It makes it really hard to remember the good times when I'm bad to help me keep hope, because I just don't connect with those feelings. I remember it happened but I just don't 'feel' it happened if that makes any sense at all.
Anyway I just wondered if anyone else experiences dissociation in this way?

I also have a dissociation issue. I have posted about it here before. Sometimes I just "leave" and time seems to pass without me. I can sometimes replay events from those times later, but it's more like watching a movie than living through it.

I think things are unreal ALL THE TIME and it sucks. I wonder what the point of it all is and why things are the way that they are. Feeling like I do not belong in this world comes naturally to me. I wish that I did not connect with you but I do... *sigh*

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
