I think that alot of us are scared of social situations in this community. It makes us nervous, anxious, causes panic attacks. But we need to realise that if nothing changes then nothing changes. If we don't stop this cycle then we are just going to be hermits forever. I know that it is really uncomfortable, so maybe we can just start out with baby steps.
-Pick up the phone when someone calls
-Send someone a letter or an Email (this is good because you are practicing communication without getting to close to someone)
-Have a conversation with a neighbor
-Call a friend
If any one else is ready to make a change then join me, I think that we can make this community an even better place if we work with eachother.
Peace

I am new to this board. I was burned badly by some "friends" back in January. I moved and haven't found any new ones. I just don't want any friends right now cause I am still scared of what happened before. I do have online "friends" and enjoy other boards. That is the way I am social.

i also was hurt by some friends. there were these two ppl, that i admire and looked up too. they were basically my big brother and big sister. since i am the oldest in the family, and have always had to be the older one. i really like having someone older around. then they started to distance themselves, they told me we couldn't be as good of friends cuz of age or gender. and yes i realize there are lines that should not be crossed, but none were. they told me their job needed to come before me. i felt even worthless than when i had before. being told i was below their job. and that i was not good enough to be their friend. i had trusted these ppl and had shared a lot with them. i went to them for advice, and they knew almost all my secrets. bad and good. and then one day they just picked up and abandoned me. now i am scared that someone will do the same. i know we are all human, and we let others down. but it hurt so bad. and i don't think i could go throught that again. so i just keep everything inside, the only ppl i talk too now are on this site. but still it isn't the same as talking in person. i just don't want to be hurt again.

The problem with bpd in my book is that I tend to put people on pedatals. When they do even the slightest thing that hurts me I am done with them. I guess it's that black and white thinking.

i do that too, sort of, i tend to really cling to someone to meet my needs, and i have way to high expectations of them, and when they realize they can't help me, and i am hurt cuz they can't help me, everything turns out ugly.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
