So you know how if you have BPD you have a strong relationship pattern of loving somebody at first and wanting to be there best friend and then all of a sudden hating them. Like out of no where you just yell at them for all the shit they have done (and if they have'nt done anything you make stuff up) or you get completely irrationally mean and throw a tantrum like you are only 4 years old and you blame them for everything bad that has happened in your life, even if you didn't know them yet when that was happening...
That is what I am doing to my therapist. I dunno, I just hate that b**** all of a sudden. My mom is telling me that I have to go back and that I could only take one week off of therapy. Then she pulled this out of her ass "Becky, I read that people with BPD often hault there recovery process because they drop out of therapy. And they drop out of therapy because they have BPD" UGH!

Has anyone else dealing with this had a bad interpersonal relationship with there therapist and dropped out?? and if you did, whet were the consequenses of it??

I have had 4 therapists in the past 3 yrs and currently do not have one. My problem with them is that after u do all this talkin about shit that u'd rather not be reminiscing about in the first place, they look at you, make some faces, nod a few times, and scribble a lot of who knows what on that fkn notepad. If they aint gonna talk back, what's the point? Right?

I had a VERY bad relationship with my old therapist. I hated him and he made me cry everytime I saw him and I lefe feeling more suicidle than when I went in, because of him. One day he said that my dad had a huge problem with me. I freaked out and refused to see him ever again. Now I have a wonderufl therapst, who I really like! She is so lovely. I hope you start to like yours again xxxx

My advice to you is tell your therapist why your mad at her(?) and what she does to piss you off. Therapy is supposed to be a place where we can talk openly about those thoughts and if your therapist isn't open to that or if you feel like you really cannot make any progress with her then I recommend finding a new one. Also, look for a therapist who specializes in personality disorders or who has had a lot of experience with cognitive behavioral therapy. That is supposed to be the best for BPD.

If you find that you cannot relate to your therapist then it is better that you find another one otherwise your healing process will not be as successful

oh dear.. yes yes yes. i can't even begin to tell you how many times i've dropped out. i still haven't found the right therapist.

i'm also bad about no call / no show appointments - which cost me $50 a pop.

Initially I was treated like a Goddess and it ended with this man physically and verbally attacking me accusing me of things I didnt even do. Is this comment with people who suffer from BPD?

Interpersonal relationships are the hardest thing for me. I am currentlly trying to get my therapist to fire me. I won't leave her...but I am daring her to leave me.

I have heard of the book: I hate you, don't leave me. I am thinking I need to read it.

My therapist got angry with me and told me I was being selfish, all that abuse stuff happened in the past and I should have moved on by now, and that I should get a job already to help my husband take care of our children. I left him soon after. He still emails me on occasion. I think he found me a little too interesting. I also think that is why he freaked out on me. I have that affect on people. They freak out on me and then can't break free. I can't always break free either. I wish I was better at the I hate you part. I just seem to keep gathering bad relationships that never end.
