Odd Coincidence Noted

We don't travel a lot anymore.  Wife has health and work issues that get in the way. Yesterday, August 21st, was our wedding anniversary, and our last big trip was a drive to Wyoming to see the total solar eclipse (TSE) in 2017,  on our anniversary date. We  actually didn't usually celebrate our anniversary and weren't aware of it at the time. It was my 2nd, her first eclipse, my third and her second marriage,  She still raves about the eclipse experience.  When we realized the coincidence later, it made the day even more special.  Now we celebrate it, although this year, she forgot it until I surprised her with flowers..


I hope we can see the next TSE in the USA in 2024, but a lot can happen in 5 years. If you like planning vacations and have never seen a total solar eclipse, that is a thing I can recommend.

Wow! I do believe that would be something worth seeing! I heat that hotels in the path of totality are booked months in advance, and price-gouging is the norm. Is that true?
